Knowing the impurities before the plant does
The situation
A unit adding new APIs to its portfolio - and every new molecule is a set of impurities you haven't met yet. Committing plant time before understanding them is how batches get written off.
What we did
Set the development direction for the new APIs. Profiled the impurities early - what forms, where, and how to see it analytically - and built the scale-up around that knowledge instead of discovering it in the reactor.
What changed
New APIs reached reliable production. The impurities showed up where we said they would, already understood.
